アトラシアン主催のユーザテストをするミートアップに参加して学んだ3つの事。 I joined the user test meetup that was opened by Atlassian in SanFrancisco. And I learned 3 things about user test.
Meetup.comはホントに面白い。
毎日のようにミートアップが開催されている。昨日はDATE NIGHTというミートアップに行ってきました。
meetup.com is really fun and exciting.
Meetups are opened everyday. Yesterday, I visited the meetup named DATE NIGHT.
なにやら説明によるとプロトタイプを持ってくる人たちがいるのでそれをテストするミートアップとのこと。英会話できるし、プロトタイプってどういうの作ってるのか知れるし、面白そうな匂いがしたのでポチッと参加ボタンを押しました。
参加費用は$10。
According to explaining, there are 2 kinds of people. one of them is bringing prototype products. and the another one is gave test. It's a good opportunity to study & conversation English. And I can know the prototype how to make. It smelled funny, so I pushed RSVP button.
Participation fee is $10

There was a sign that easy to find.
看板のさす方向に進んでいくと入り口を示す看板がまたありました。
When I went as that signage pointed, there was also signage that indicate entrance.

会場はこんな感じ。
The meetup place was like that.
授業のせいでちょっと遅れて参加したのですが、内容はこんな感じでした。
・１セッション20分を時間のある限り繰り返す
・基本的にはテストギバーは必要最低限の事以外は何も喋らない
・テストテイカーは気になるところをひたすら指摘していく
・その指摘をひたすらメモにする
Though I was late joining because my class was late, meetup contents is like that.
・1 session is 20 minites. again and again as possible.
・Basically, the test-giver doesn't speak except necessary to explain.
・The test-takers point out whatever they stuck in the back of their mind.
・The test-giver write down the indication.
最後にクイズ的なものをやっていたのですが全く英語が聞き取れず。泣
困り顔してたらなんかよくわからないうちにTシャツもらえました。なんでだろうw
でもこれで10ドルの元は取ったぜ！w
Last of the event, they was doing things like quiz...? I don't know...because their talking speed was really fast... so I wasn't able to listen to...
But I was able to get T-shirt. why? I don't know :) It was lucky! I was able to get $10 value back!

By the way, please tell me what does "you </> me" mean...?

写真をFacebookにシェアしたら主催会場となっていたのがアトラシアンだと言う事が判明w てっきりコワーキングスペースかと思っていましたw
When I shared my photos about this meetup, I was understood by my friends that the place was atlassian :) I thought it is coworking space...XD
で、最後にまとめですが、このミートアップで勉強になった事は大きく３つありました。
Finally, it's conclusion. There was 3 useful points that I was able to learn from this meetup.
1.テストの体制について about test-giver team
テストギバーは２人でやろう。→テストの指示者とメモする人に分かれると効率的。
When you test something, test-giver should be more than two people. Indicator and writer are good formation.
2.ファシリテーションについて about facilitation
・20分とか、時間を区切って集中してやろう。
→これ結構良かったです。だらだら質問したり回答するよりも、20分くらいで切り上げて人を変えてまたテストを繰り返す、っていうやり方。なかなか効率的でした。
Separating test time to around 20 minutes is good for keeping your concentration.
3.テストテイカーについて about test taker
・テストテイカーはユーザ目線で語ろう。
→ついつい自分の理想のUX/UIを語りがち。ユーザからは疑問や理想は出てくるけど、絶対にUX/UIは語らない。本当のユーザ目線でそのサービスを見れるかがかなりユーザテストの質を変えてくるなと、改めて思いました。
Test taker's position should be user. The test taker who is used to doing UX/UI test tends to tell your ideal UX/UI. Real users are telling a question or request, but they don't tell about UX/UI absolutely. Looking the prototype products from users position is key point. It could change test quality whether test giver look from users position. I guess again.
P.S.
ミートアップが終わったのが20時半なのにサンフランシスコはめちゃくちゃ明るい。
外ではまだスポーツを楽しむ人たちでいっぱいでした。
Though meetup finished at 8:30PM, San Francisco was really bright...
There were a lot of people who enjoy playing sports.

なんかよくわかりませんでしたが、頭に角つけた集団が野球的なポジショニングでキャイキャイ騒いでました。何の遊びだったんだろう。。。
I didn't understand that. the people who wearing a horn on their head exciting with playing baseball...but it may not baseball... What were they playing about...?
